It was the summer of 2006 and I(Rocker) received a call from Brad(Buddha) that he was having a sidecar built for his friend Tony in Grande Junction, Colorado. He asked if I would like to ride up with him to pick it up and bring it back to Arizona? Of course my response was yes! This was not any ordinary sidecar. It was being built to carry Tony, his wheelchair and his special needs dog. I won't go into great detail as I don't want Buddha to get a big head but lets just say he is one of the coolest ratz I know and would give anyone the shirt off his back! (Unless it was a naked lady)lol!......
Anyway, as we started planning this great adventure we started asking friends we rode with on a regular basis if they would like to join us! Of course they said yes!
Pretty soon we had a group of riders all riding for the same cause! We had a blast as we rode through places such as Flagstaff, Mexican Hat, Monument Valley Hoolbrook etc..... We ended up staying in Moab, Utah. We had a bus pick us up from our hotel and take us to a micro brew/restaurant for beers and fun! We then woke up in the morning and made the trek over to Grande Junction CO. to pick up the sidecar. When we got there, it wasn't ready nor road worthy so we spent the next two days trying to get it on the road! To make a long story shorter, we were not able to do so and ended up renting a U-Haul to get it back, which was cool because we then got to go back and stay one more night in Moab and take the Uhaul cruzin down the main strip!
So there it is, the short version of what happened! Thanks Brad for bringing us all together and the rest is history !
