Ride to benefit John Sliney February 8th

"Somewhere", Arizona -Pictured left to right in the back: Rocker, Don Rhoades,John Sliney and down in front: Wrench Rat and Speed Rat. This photo was probably taken I am guessing in 2004. Long before the Ratz were born!
This was one of many rides I took with John and I remember those days being good and adventurous ones.

*February 8th Meeting Place: The Human Bean Coffee Shop S/W Corner of Country Club and Main in Mesa! Next to Joetta's and Average Joe's! Departure Time 9am! Please join us for a very important ride to support John Sliney and his family in this time of need! The ride will be Sunday February 8th. There is a minimum $10 donation. This event will be hosted by Tim Donovan and donations will be collected at his house which happens to be the starting point of the ride. The Ratz will be meeting and riding over as a group to ride the route with others! We hope you all will join us in supporting our friend John!

Thank you,

Ratz thoughtz and prayerz for Sliney!

Our friend John Sliney was involved in a serious accident! We wish John and his family well with a full recovery. I have personally known John for about 6 years and have always respected him for saying what is on his mind and wearing his heart on his sleeve! As soon as John can have visitors, he will have a hospital room full of Ratz! Count on it!

Proud and Patched

Here are Soldier and his wife Jes (yet to be named) displaying the flaming Rat!

When you see them on a ride, be sure to thank them both for their service to your country.

Rusty for walking the fence in Afghanistan and Jes for keeping him sane! Rumor has it that there is a little soldier or soldieret brewing?

Ratz Ride to "Butcher's Hook"

Happy Ratz doing what they love and know best....eating, eating and more eating. Fine dining at the Butchers Hook restaurant in wonderful, known around the world famous, Punkin Center AZ.
Seems these days, we can't find any dining establishment that serves your entire meal on just one plate!! First day in to the "New Year" and most Ratz have already violated their new years resolutions!!! Ah, what the hell! There is always next year!! Will someone pass the syrup!

Oh, sorry...I guess it was not the syrup that was being asked for. Seems like one Rat is more interested in the ketchup, and the steak sauce, and the hot sauce, and the, well he did stop at the mustard. But judging by the smile on that face, he is quite content!

Cocoa Ratz Awezome Ride

Today "The Ratz"- Biggy, Rocker and Budha chased Cocoa up the mountain to Globe! We even had patches of snow on the side of the road. The weather was awesome and we ended up eating at a place called Jerry's! Great ride with great friends. Who could ask for anything more?....
Oh yeah, Cocoa had her usual chocolate milk and 1/8th of a waffle. The rest of us ate like a pack of wild ratz.

Newly named "Pack Rat"

Photo #1 Everyone say hello to Bill aka(Pack Rat)!

This boy can put down some Mexican food! So today as the naming ritual goes, he was named! Pack Rat took us all to Carlos Obriens on 12th street and Northern!

Photo #2 is Dudley. He is amazed that this much food can be served on one plate. Oh sorry, I meant two plates! "Chow down dudes"!

Two Scoots, Couple Scrapes and Bruises = One Kick A$$ Club and Family!

Those that read the title of this entry know what I mean if you were there!
Some pictures from our memorable day and we will leave it at that! Checkout photo #3: Stanley's Bad A$$ Pipes!
A Huge Thanks to Tony DeForest, Sue Beverley, Bill Klar, Stanley and Willie Rat for being there when everyone needed you! Tony and Sue, we would be honored to have you join us on any of our adventures and want to say Thank You Both!

This little "flash back" is what actually became the foundation for the Ratz riding group. We realized that "doing" was all it takes. No more, no less. Enjoy!

Ratz at El Encanto

Ratz frequent a dining mecca in Cave Creek called "El Encanto" One Rat (who shall remain nameless) "Rocker", likes to pick out his duck on the way in. On this particular day, notice the stock had been replenished. There may one day be a dish on the menu called "Duck ala Rocker"
Notice how all eyes are fixed on the plate being delivered to Rocker Rat? He sat at the far end just so it would be carried past every Rat there.
One and all had a sumptuous meal, Bill Klar maybe had two...and we all left happy, as all good Ratz should feel.
Ratz about to embark on the rat ride back to their respective holes. None will need more than a small cheese snack for the evening meal.

Ratz support the Vetz

Mike aka(Reaction Rat) Is the most active vet I know! Every year he organizes a ride to the VA Hospital to deliver care packages to the nursing home. Here are a few photos that Reaction and his wife Alison took at the biggest biker supported veterans event in the USA. "Rolling Thunder" in Washington DC.

Dude, "The band is back together"!

Here are some of the Ratz and friends doing what every biker does once or twice in his or her lifetime! That's right folks, it is called "Drunken Kareoke"! I am glad these photos did not come with sound! Rumor has it that after a few Whiskies, Lieber sang like a bird? I'm pretty sure they said bird?

J's Black Beauty

Here is Jason aka(Iron Rat) on his 2009 Road King Classic! If you look real close you can probably see the Tags still hanging off the bars! (lol)
He has been riding for years!
When we rode to SanDiego and toured the Midway, having Jason there was like having a private tour guide.
Don't even get me started about the work he did on the sidecar for Tony or the fact that this Rat can throw down a yard of beer like it's nobody's business! The Ratz say "Welcome Aboard Mate"!

Soldier and his wife Jes!

This was a ride that the Ratz took Rusty aka(Soldier) and his wife Jessica on. We joined up with the Patriot Guard to ride in honor of fallen soldier and friend to Rusty PFC Mykal Miller. On the way home we stopped to get fuel and made them both patched members!

Ratz Backsidez in the Salt River Canyon

Bumz from left to right: Stanley,The Don, Rocker and Ellen aka(Pinky Rat)
What a view?(lol)

In honor of Mr Papa aka(Papa Rat)

If there is one thing Papa and Rocker have in common it is the like for a peel the paint off the walls, old school, blues guitar sound. For this, Hendrix comes to mind. Not the commercial stuff that was torn apart by the record labels to hit the airwaves like Purple Haze or Foxy Lady! I'm talking about the real stuff! In honor of Papa I now give you my three favorite Hendrix songs: 1st Easy Rider, 2nd Red House and 3rd Freedom.
Scroll down and click on them on the player at the bottom of the page and enjoy!

Lieber Sez!

Lieber says- "This is what Life is about"!

Him and two of his buddies (Gary and Rick) havin' a beer at the Salmon river Northfork, Idaho.

This was one of their stops on the way home from their Canadian ride adventure!

Where is Bill?

Did Sue aka(Lab Rat) take Aeros bike for a spin while he was away?
Na, We know somewhere outside the frame of the photo there is a Porta Potty!
